Heraklion

The capital of Crete, Heraklion, is a bustling city and the fifth largest in Greece. The long history of Heraklion, the active life, its culture and ideal location are the reasons why it gathers a large number of visitors every year. The most important Minoan palace, one of the most important museums in the country, monuments scattered around the city, gorgeous Venetian monuments, a fortress as a trademark at the entrance of the harbor and neoclassical buildings make up the fascinating history of the city.
