The villa was a lovely place to stay. It contained all what we needed, and a bit more. We had access to a private vegetable garden where we could pick aburginer , onions , peppers , squash, cucumber , chili etc . The landlord was very accommodating and helpful. If we needed anything , this was sorted straight away . The outdoor area was neat and well maintained with flowers and greenery . The furniture outdoors were well and had also provided grill . Loungers can however be replaced. The swimming pool is small but good enough to cool off in. There may be some noise from the road located at one of the bedroom , without disturbed stay appreciable . We recommend a rental car so one can easily get around the area. There is a great beach just 5-10minutter by car from the villa. On the beach there`s a restaurant with friendly staff serving delicious iced coffee and good food. We were very well received by the family who are landlords and we were picked up at the airport. Their smiles and hospitality made our stay even better.
It is a stone house in the countryside, very nice. It has a nice garden with swimming pool and porch with sea views. The area, for me, is one of the most beautiful and less crowded with tourists. Phalasarna beach is very beautiful and is 10 minutes by car. Nearby there is everything, supermarkets, tavernas .... Go to Elafonissi is not complicated, or access Balos. Kissamos, 10 minutes too by car, is another nice place to dinner. The best is Manolia, the owner, he treated us great and gave us very sad to say goodbye to her. ¡Gracias por todo Manolia! Hemos sido muy felices en tu preciosa casa.
Response from Manolia: Julia, thank you so much for your kind words! I am very glad that i met you and i offered you our Cretan hospitality. I am looking forward to meet all of you next year and i will really try to improve even more our services! Gracias!!We stayed nearly 3 weeks in Villa Manolia. The owner is very friendly, but: the Villa is not in a peaceful Environment! The main road is only 5 meters away with many hundreds of cars every day. It's really very loud. The house is dark because the kitchen has no window, kitchen isn't fully equipped (f.e. only 3 small spones, no knife for cutting bread, an old small pan ...). The pool is very small and there are only two old damaged sun beds in the garden. So: never again!
Response from Manolia: First i want to thank Arnim and his wife that stayed in my villa. The villa is on the rural road that goes to Falasarna, so there are more cars in summer than in winter. But they are not hundreds. The kitchen had almost everything except the bread knife which i gave Arnim when he asked. I gave very good service (it was easy as i leave very close to the villa). The pool is 18 s.m and i bought the sunbeds last year. It was the first arrival of the season and maybe a few things was missing (i am really sorry for that), but i gave them everything they asked! I really tried to to my best!
