This is the second time we have stayed in this lovely villa and it was as beautiful as we remembered. Great location close to our favourite beaches of Almyrida and Kalives, near to the lovely restaurants at Plaka and only a half an hour drive to Chania. The villa itself is clean, spacious and well equipped, with a large pool and the most stunning views. It offers excellent value for money and we hope to return in the future.
We spent 10 days at the villa and enjoy its location, its views and its wonderful swimming pool and balcony! The Villa is as shown in the photos. Lot of place, very clean and confortable. It has all amenities needed for a nice stay. Yorgos answered to all our doubts and came to clean the Villa and the simming pool once a week. Our family of 6 people (grandparents, parents, a teenager and a child) spent 10 delightful days at Crete visiting cities, towns and museums and it was great to came back to the Villa at evening to relax at the swimming pool or to have dinner at its great balcony with atonishing sights of the sea. We would like to come back to Villa Delphini some day soon. Thank you for everything!
We had a wonderful vacation at Vila Delfini for almost a week. The house was beautiful and in a wonderful location. We had great service with cretico and helped us in our planning before our arrival. The house fit our family of 5 including 3 children easily with lots of play space and a great pool!
Stayed 6 nights in Villa Delfini in July. The house is fully equipped and offers all conveniences for a perfect self-catering experience in Crete. A very spacious house with three very nice bedrooms - perfect for a family of five or six. Kitchen has what you will need in the way of kitchen appliances if you want to cook yourself and there is a new washing machine in the cellar. All very easy to use and handy when you have kids. A large covered terrace with sofas to relax in was where a lot of time was spent just enjoying the fabulous view. Must also mention that the location is very quiet within a 10 minute walk to nearest village with a few tavernas and a surprisingly well-stocked mini-market. The lovely Laia who speaks fluent English and looks after the house for the owners was there to meet us on arrival although we did not get there before midnight. Very sweet of her. She had also arranged for a large bowl of fresh fruit and a little wine in the fridge - a very nice touch! All in all we had a perfect stay at Villa Delfini and can highly recommend!
We have just spent two wonderful weeks at Villa Delfini. The views out over Souda Bay are fantastic and would be very hard to beat. The villa is in a peaceful location but within a shorty walk to two local tavernas and a small shop. It's only a 2/3 minute drive to Plaka and not much more to Almyrida where there are plenty of restaurants and shops. Probably essential to have a car though as there's plenty to see round and about. Laia met us at the villa as arranged and was very helpful. We were impressed with the fact that we could negotiatewhen the maid service and the pool cleaner were going to come as at other places people have just turned up out of the blue and it can be a bit intrusive - we like our privacy! We were really impressed with how clean and fresh the whole place was . The level and standard of equipment is superb and there is everything you need. The underfloor cooling worked a treat. The pool was excellent and very welcome in the heat of the day. We have stayed in a number of villas around the area and all in all Villa Delfini comes out tops!
Response from Michel: Ian, thank you very much for your fabulous words! It is always a great pleasure for us when our guests have enjoyed their stay. You were also perfect and we are waiting for you to come again soon! I will take into account your useful recommendations! Our best regards to your wife also! Michel, Anne and LaiaWe (2 x couples) have just returned from a wonderful relaxing break at Villa Delfini. The views were outstanding and the location was beautiful and so peaceful. We enjoyed spending the days lounging around the beautiful pool area, cooking BBQs and enjoying the local wines in the day time. In the evening there are a couple of restaurants within walking distance, but we tended to go out in the car in the evenings and sample the restaurants slightly further afield. There is a nice atmosphere and lots of choice of places to eat in Plaka and in Almyrida (both within 5 - 10 minutes' drive from the villa. We enjoyed a particularly good evening at the Emerald Hotel restaurant, where they had a set 4 course menu and wine tasting evening. Not a restaurant to be missed and the sunsets are fabulous. Equally, the sunsets from the villa are magnificent. The view really is completely uninterrupted to the bay. Laia was very nice and greeted us with a smile, even though we managed to get lost on the way and kept her waiting a long time! She was very knowledgeable about the local area and recommended places to visit. All in all we had a really lovely stay here and I cannot wait to return to the beautiful island of Crete. Thank you Michel and Laia
Response from Michel: Tara, thank you very much for your great review for Delphini! It is our pleasure to host such guests, so clean, tidy, discreet and non demanding at all! We are at your disposal in case you ever decide to visit Crete again. We wish you a a really cheerful summer! Michel, Anne and LaiaWhat a fabulous villa to spend your holiday in.Private enough for those who want quietness, close enough to all amenities for those who seek the livelier side of Crete. The facilities could not be faulted with kitchen and living equipment everything you could ask for.The view is even more hypnotising than the gallery shows and the pool and garden area, well, what can I say that does it justice. There always seemed to be somebody around either cleaning the house or the pool ( I say that in a nice way) and Michel and his team were helpful and friendly from the point of booking throughout. It was all we could do to drag ourselves away and we can't wait to return one day (hopefully sooner rather than later)
