This villa is undoubtedly impressive. It is built entirely of local stone to resemble the Greek fortified houses of the past era with its moat effect walkway, bridged patio and wide interior and exterior archways. Surrounded by private grounds of 4000sqm including olive groves, pool, BBQ and grass lawn garden. The interior and exterior is designed and built by a renowned local architect and builder. Special attention has been paid to every detail to create a unique retreat for our guests. The exquisite carpentry has been designed and hand-carved from solid oak by local craftsmen to suit the needs of the villa. The theme of the villa is an open rose which is particularly evident in the wood carvings, especially in the spacious master bedroom. Every possible modern comfort is available at Villa Antina, a touch of old and a touch of new is highly evident throughout the villa giving it an aura of class and elegance.
Entering the rose adorned master bedroom allows you to step back in time, with its high vaulted ceilings, mezzanine level, romantic lighting and sumptuous four-poster queen-sized bed - this room alone makes the villa an inviting secluded retreat for those romantic couples who are eternal honeymooners.
The bedroom is further enhanced with a luxurious en suite bathroom with jet-shower, and a private secluded sea-facing balcony.
The villa can accommodate six people.
The 360 degree views from the villa change as the light of the day adds different perspectives to the undulating landscape of olive groves, the proud backdrop of the White Mountains and the sparkling sea of Souda Bay. The views continue to change during the night with the illumination of the bay by coastal villages and the lights of passing ships.

Litsarda is a quaint traditional working village, which has a platea (square) and village church. Village Litsarda is located along a land ridge and is surrounded by several deserted (ghost) villages, which make good exploring either for hikers, horseback riders or cyclists.
The village is popular for its renowned pizza house, which draws customers from all over the area, and does cater for vegetarian dishes. There is also a small kafenion.
On the 15th August every year, the village community celebrates a 3-day religious festival of the Virgin Mary. Features of the festival include traditional Cretan music, dancing, and local culinary dishes.
The nearby village of Vamos, with its quaint narrow streets and traditional stone houses, is located 1.5km from Villa Antina. Recently the village has undergone much renovation under the stewardship of the local traditional conservation and tourism association.
Vamos has a large number of amenities, including:
Bank (and ATM)
Butcher & Fishmonger
Green grocers & mini-market
Traditional craft shops
A number of the tavernas are well known and popular with locals and tourists.
The village is well supported by the local bus service with regular routes to local villages, towns and the cities of Rethymno and Chania, and further afield should you require it.
The area has several very good beaches in nearby coastal villages and many secluded coves awaiting your discovery.
The Apokoronas area is exceptionally beautiful and is a joy to explore in any season. There is an abundance of natural fauna, many olive groves, old donkey tracks, small and large vineyards and a large number of deserted old settlements, as well as historical landmarks. Villa Antina is ideally situated as a base to explore the area, whether on foot, by horse or on bicycle. We fully support low impact (eco-friendly) tourism and encourage our guests to make use of the services provided by the locals.
