Crete, an island full of tales and myths, is connecting three continents. The island of Crete, with an amazingly rich history, was the center of the Minoan Civilizationthat flourished around 3.000 BCE. In Chania, there are some of the most beautiful sites in the whole island. Definitely worth visiting is the Samaria Gorge and the White mountains.
Nestled conveniently on the Akrotiri Peninsula, overlooking the Aegean Sea, this outstanding property, is undoubtedly set in a marvellous location. Akrotiri peninsula lies just 7km from the Venetian Port and its picturesque Old Town, also known as the "Venice of the East". In the historic center of Chania, you can walk through the old narrow alleys, dating back to the Venetian-Ottoman era.
The area of Akrotiri offers a wide range of facilities to satisfy all preferences. Its rugged scenery is a must, for those wanting to see a bit more of the real Crete. Several beaches are found within a short distance such as Marathi and Loutraki (5km away), as well as Kalathas beach, Tersanas beach and Stavros beach (10km away).
