In case of family accommodation with children, there are mattresses in the attics under the roof timbers.
Through a beautiful staircase the suite is being connected to the lower level of the villa. Here is a comfortable living room with 2 large sofas that unfold into double beds. An extra cot is available.
The kitchen has all the necessary equipment, while the 2nd bathroom has a separate shower. From the large balcony door exit directly to the patio with swimming pool and barbecue.

Ierapetra was in antiquity one of the most important cities of Crete. Originally brought Kyrva name, then Pytna, Kamiros and then Ierapytna. The legend says Telchines demigods who came to Crete with Rhea the mother of the gods to found the city. During the Hellenistic period (4th-1st century b.C.) the city minted its own coins, while up to 2 nd century b. C. had under its control more land than any other Cretan city. At 66 b.C. the city was occupied by the Romans and destroyed, but built again gaining back its former glory. According to the sources and as recent excavations show, there were two theaters, an amphitheater, temples, aqueduct and numerous statues adorned the city. The dominant position in eastern Crete maintained during the Byzantine period. It was Episcopal headquarters that included in addition to the area of Ierapetra and Sitia and Mirabello. The raid of the Arabs in 824 a.C. caused widespread destruction in the city and marking its definitive end.
Landmark of the city is the ancient Venetian fortress which dominates the southern part of the city. Located at the entrance to the city port and is the only surviving fortress in an urban center in the south Mediterranean sea.

Sights at Ierapetra:
-The Kales Fortress was built by the Venetians in the 13th century to protect the town of Ierapetra from their enemies. In 1508 it was destroyed by an earthquake. When Ierapetra fell to the Turks in 1647, the castle was repaired and used for the defense of the city. In this period keeps the name of Kales, which is a corruption of the Turkish 'Koules', meaning tower. All these years Kales standing imposingly at the entrance of the old port of Ierapetra, revealing the city's history. Today you can visit the castle and to attend cultural events organized by the Municipality.
- The Archaeological Collection of Ierapetra is housed in the building of the Ottoman street in the city center . It was founded in the late 19th century, by the Association of Ierapetras Friends of Education to collecting and preserving ancient area . The exhibits of the collection now covers the history of the region of Ierapetra and date from the 3rd millennium BC to the 5th AD Century.
Visitors have the opportunity to admire clay sarcophagi, pottery, inscriptions, sculptures, coins, and beautiful statue of peplophoros Persephone .

Summer pleasures in the southern Cretan Sea:
- Chrissi Island
It is an uninhabited island 8 miles south of Ierapetra town, bordering the southern Cretan Sea . It is preserved by NATURA 2000 as intense natural beauty and wildlife refuge. In summer, swamped by thousands of daily visitors who enjoy its beaches and clean waters, with daily ferries from the town of Ierapetra. Characteristic of the island is the forest of cedars that reach the age of 200 years. In Chrissi fossils have been found on volcanic rocks from the time when the island was still underwater.
- Long Beach
Famous and favorite beach is about 5 km east of Ierapetra (in Koutsounari village), and impresses with its vastness and rich sand from grayish pebbles.
- Tholos beach
Pebble beach with countless trees by the sea on the north coast of Ierapetra.
- Beach in Makrigialos
Shallow beach with golden sands and blue waters, sheltered and organized a perfect family destination.
- Myrtos beach
This nice beach belongs to the village "Myrtos" - resort - and is situated 18 km west of Ierapetra. Organized beach retains its authenticity, just below the promenade of the village filled with the colors of summer and smells of good food.

- Agia Fotia beach
Perfect combination of green and blue! The place is idyllic in the shade of a pine tree rock. It is 17 km west of the city and has outdoor snack restaurant.
