In connection of the living room you come to the L shaped kitchen which contains all modern comforts as dishwasher, fridge and freezer as well as electric cooker with ceramic hob and microwave. There you can also find the dinner table and in the corner the fireplace, for the cold winter days.
The panoramic view over the landscape from the high mountains to the blue sea can be enjoyed from the dinning table as well from the sofa group.

Tourism is still low key, and the village keeps an authentic atmosphere, with very friendly shopkeepers who are glad of the chance to practise their English, hear about other people's way of life and tell you about their own. In Tavronitis you will find a couple of handy mini markets, a butcher's, a bakery and a patisserie.
Down by the sea there are three or four tavernas along the pebbly shore, which stretches some 10 km around the bay to Kolymvari. Kolymvari is known for its mouth-watering choice of harbourside fish tavernas, and has a larger supermarket and three banks, all with cash machines. For fresh fruit, vegetables and local atmosphere, visit the Saturday market in Voukolies, 7 km inland.
