This Villa in Almirida, whose construction was completed in 2005, can easily accommodate up to 9 people in its 100 square meters.
It has two floors and is built in a way that both the ground floor and the top floor have lovely terraces with stunning views. The terrace floor is covered by a roof and the terrace on the top floor is open, so you can choose either sun or shade. The ground floor has a living - dining room, a fully equipped kitchen, providing a microwave, toaster, kettle, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and a beautiful, spacious bedroom with twin beds and a shower / WC.
The colour of the villa is gray with dark green doors, aluminum windows and shutters throughout the house. The furniture, doors and cupboards, throughout the interior of the villa, are traditional Cretan and become even more homelike due to the warm colour of wood, while the bedrooms upstairs have incorporated the traditional architectural style with the high wooden ceilings.
A staircase leads to the top floor. There are 2 bedrooms, one with double bed and one twin bedroom. These two rooms share a spacious bathroom / WC. All rooms lead to a balcony (equipped with outdoor furniture), from which one can admire the stunning view of Almirida and the surrounding landscape. All three bedrooms and the living room have air conditioning with cooling or heating capacity, if necessary. Also, there is constant hot water provided from a solar water heater which is available or villa, or from an electric heater. The equipment of the villa also contains a washing machine, a DVD and a CD player, as well as satellite TV and a safe.
Outside the villa there is a big, beautiful private garden covered with grass and surrounded by a natural stone wall, which makes it ideal for children to play safely. There is also a beautiful pool of 40 sqm (5 x 8), around which are placed chairs and umbrellas available for sunbathing.
On the veranda, in front of the building and along the beautiful garden there are outdoor furniture for relaxation among the trees and flower beds with roses, with which the garden is decorated.
Also at the villa's garden, the younger members of the family will enjoy watching a slide, a seesaw and a small house for playing, all made of wood. A portable and also a stone barbecue give visitors the opportunity to cook everything they want in a traditional and - why not - a fun way. Kids are absolutely welcome to the villa and, if necessary, you can be provided with a baby seat and a special bed for babies.

Area
The village of Almirida (also spelled Almerida or Almyrida) is located at about 800 meters from the two beautiful villas. At Almirida village one can find anything he needs, as it is a tourist place full of nice restaurants along the beach, bars, super markets and other stores. It is a beautiful village built around a sandy, shallow and safe trick, which is the village's beach, with a haven for small fishing vessels in the eastern edge.
Along the picturesque beach you will find, besides the above, cafeterias, bakeries, a jewellery shop, mini markets, gift shops and a car rental shop. At very close distance there is a water sports centre where you can rent kayaks, windsurfs and catamarans, adding a more exotic touch to your holiday.
Need for car only exists if one considers the distance to Almirida village to be large. On the other hand, if you want to explore the area and the other attractions of this historic island, a vehicle is mandatory and in short drive there is a huge variety of archaeological sites, museums and traditional villages with wonderful restaurants and quaint craft, which worth visiting, such as the glassblazery at the Red village, lace makers of Gavalohori village or silk makers at Kalamitsi village.
Stronger pace for those looking for something like that, can be found in the city of Chania, which is the nearest big city. The distance from Almirida to Chania is about 25 km and the city's airport is 30 km away, approximately half an hour by car.
If you select the second airport in Crete, in Heraklion, where may get cheaper prices on some flights, the transfer time is approximately one hour and a half.
Upon your arrival at the airport, if you wish, after communicating with the owners, there is the ability to have a taxi waiting to take you to the villa, or to take you there themselves. At the villa there will be a bag waiting for you, with some commodities you may need, such as juice, tea, coffee, fruit, as a welcome gift from the owners.
